Return to the staircase

Slightly put off by what just happened, you descend the spiral staircase and find yourself back in the dimly lit stone room. You've just left the lighthouse and have no intention of returning there for now. The elevator creaks quietly in its shaft and the large steel door stands firm against one wall. Your reflection in the mirror catches the corner of your eye.

It must lead outside, right?
