You wedge the driftwood between the cliff face and the eggs and pull the pulsing mass from the rocks. Perhaps if you can get them to hatch, the young monsters will imprint on you and you will have a spider army to forever do your bidding. You grab a handfull of thread to hoist yourself up on top, when suddenly, the vile substance begins to climb up your arm and wrap around your torso. The next thing you know, you are completely surrounded by the rotten stench, enveloped in darkness. You feel sharp pricks on your head and along your spine, and you realize that you are totally incapacitated. The eggmass injects a cocktail of enzymes that reconfigure your DNA, as powerful forces twist your bones and redesign your internal structure. Your body elongates, and two more pairs of limbs sprout from your back and wrap around your lower ribs. You scream in pain, but to no avail. Loud voices begin screaming in unintelligble languages in your mind. Blinding white fills your conscious thought as the scorching pain fills your soul. You begin to slip into a coma.
