East China Normal University or ECNU is a very prominent university in Shanghai, China. It is also the base of the study abroad that Peimin Ni and Geling Shang run and is where Teh Unholy Trio was formed. The back gate smells funny, and if you turn right out of the front gate without crossing the street first to the other side, you will end up in the ghetto and it smells even worse than the back gate.

ECNU has a beautiful campus with gardens and flowers. There is a Chairman Mao statue at the back. Weekly on Thursday and Sunday evenings there is English Corner. It starts at seven p.m.

Yuna will be enrolling directly at ECNU in 2007 to continue her study of Mandarin Chinese. The Gullwings will also be attending ECNU with Ni and Shang summer 2007.
