East China Normal University (Chinese: 华东师范大学; pinyin: Huádōng Shīfàn Dàxué) is a very prominent university in Shanghai, China. Often abbreviated ECNU (or Huá Shī Dà by the Chinese), it is famous for producing teachers as well as being one of the top research institutes in Mainland China. ECNU has also risen as one of the best Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language institutes in the Mainland.
ECNU is also the base of the study abroad that Peimin Ni and Geling Shang run and is where Teh Unholy Trio was formed as well as the place where Yuna and Rikku formed their close bond.
