Terrifying to behold are the Giant Rubber Band Golems of Cygnus V. Utilising the elasticity of their powerful forearms, they launch themselves from Reach's nearby gas giant to attack the helpless planet. They rampage into colonies, mildly denting the local Structure domes with their flailing whips as they attempt to consume the local supply of Reach rubber. Their skintanium armor can resist even the most violent kinetic impact, making railguns virtually useless against them. Sadly, they remain vulnerable to the most basic of weapons: The knife. The most effective form of attack has been found to be the crazy guy with the knife, who climbs on to the back of the Giant Rubber Band Golem and mercilessly slashes through the strands of rubber. Giant Rubber Band Golem attacks have decreased recently, and rumors abound that they are developing some kind of gun to fire themselves at hypersonic speeds.
