Template talk:RWyear

this makes perfect sense. Tmtoulouse 01:48, 27 December 2007 (EST)

Its one year per day, so tomorrow it will be 2004! And then only 4 more days until the actual (real life) NEW YEAR! Do you think its silly?
It's silly, and it's a great idea. The trouble is, to get the most use out of the concept, someone will have to build a "backbone" for it so other people can easily "translate". humanbe in 22:03, 7 January 2008 (EST)

Idea for something better?

Instead of 1/1/2007 being 1642, it should be -142, and 5/22/2007 should be 1. --98.17.57.5 16:31, 17 February 2008 (EST)

Yes, 5/22/2007 should be year 1, with RW 1.0 existing in the shadows of BRW time. ALSO, can't this be automated easily? (make it equal to the difference between "today" in code and 5/22/2007)? humanbe in 15:09, 21 February 2008 (EST)
There should also be a date transform template - say, {{RWdate|2007|11|23}} yields the appropriate translation to the year RW? (hmm, that would obsolete this one, of course) humanbe in 15:10, 21 February 2008 (EST)
I'm not smart enough to work this out I'm afraid. Thanks for updating them for me. Signed: False Flag.
I'll try to get one of the smarter RW people to figure it out for us. Jan 1 2008 is year 2000, right? humanbe in 15:57, 26 February 2008 (EST)

I tried to use this: {{ #expr: (2000 + {{ #time: z }} ) }} but as you see, it doesn't work. It's based on template:electdays over at RW. Obviously it needs "something" to be installed. humanbe in 13:53, 27 February 2008 (EST)

I remain baffled by this.--FalseFlagFlag Me 17:55, 29 February 2008 (EST)
