About Grimstyles™
Born Jeffrey Richard Metz, Grim lived with his two parents and younger siblings in Santee California, a suburb of San Diego for 8 years until they relocated for work. In the Spring of 1998 Grim moved to Bakersfield California, where he attended elementary, junior high and high school. He attended Liberty High School in Bakersfield, being a graduate of the class of 2008.
Grim began rhyming in the Spring of 2002 while freestyling with friends. He originally tried it to fit in with his group of friends. Little did he know, this would become a life long passion. He would spend countless hours writing rhymes, excited to share them with his friends, gathering their opinions.
In 2003 he decided to take his talents elsewhere by joining Hip Hop forums on the Internet. Nobodysmiling.com Holla-front.com & RapFlava.com to name a few. He was cautious at first, afraid of how people would receive him. This is where he fell in love with Hip Hop, a love of which he still shares to this day.
