Basic Information
Full Name: Technically, Project 256. However, nobody ever calls him this.
Alias: Sylver
Gender: None, though Sylver is generally regarded as male.
Species: Robotic dog
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Universe of Origin: Randoma
Place of Origin: Joat’s lab
Place of Residence: None
Socioeconomic Status: Low-Class Robot
Reputations: Sylver is a source of great controversy. He is very well-known. Some people (the majority of atheists, though there are also religious people who also believe this) see him as a fake. They believe that Joat is simply controlling Sylver by some sort of remote signal using his advanced hacking skills. Others, however, see him as a true miracle. He has no software and no known remote control devices and he is shows advanced emotional traits even when Joat is busy or asleep, which leaves only one possible explanation: sentience. Whichever side you are on, Sylver is also known as a very kind, easy-going robot, which is true.
Physical Information
Length: 3'
Weight: 49lbs. (pretty light, considering his race)
Current Age: 0
Birth Date: 12/3
Physical Appearance: He has a normal head shape for a dog. The top, back, and sides of his head a blue, while the front and muzzle are silver. His eyes are surprisingly realistic and can easily convey emotion (which is good, since Sylver has a lot of it). Sylver’s ears are floppy and reach down to the bottom of his head. His neck and a portion of his body that surrounds it are blue. The top of his torso is blue, while the rest of it is silver. His legs are silver, while his paws are blue. His tail, which is round and is pointy at the end (think Fang, but without the bend), is blue.
Body Structure: He is quite flexible (though he cannot stretch his paws or any other part of himself past their original length). When he moves, it doesn’t look robotic at all. His face is also quite realistic. To add to the realism, he is also able to cry and blush (the armor on his cheeks is made to be semi-transparent when light is shone on the inside, similar to the mirror that looks like a mirror until the light is turned on).
Mental Information
Intelligence: Sylver is of fair intelligence. His social skills are high, as is his scientific knowledge (living with Joat, how could it not be?). However, his historical knowledge is deplorable. He tends to be balanced between auditory, visual, and kinesthetic in terms of learning style.
Personality: Sylver is the very definition of nice. He is non-materialistic and generous. He is very fun-loving and easy-going. He prefers chaotic conduct over seriousness, a trait which he shares with his creator.
Sylver is very emotional and shows it freely. He is not afraid to cry in public. He usually does so when he’s upset. He also tends to find someone to talk about it to if it is a long-term problem. It is very difficult to anger Sylver. When he becomes angry, he will adopt an “I-mean-business” attitude. Anger, like sadness, can reduce him to tears and cause him to talk freely and openly about what is on his mind.
Sylver occasionally ponders his creation. He, like everyone else, wonders how he came to life. This results in something Joat has dubbed “vari-theism”, the inability to decide on one particular religion.
Sylver is very energetic, both physically and mentally. When he is happy, it is plainly obvious. He is very easy to make friends with.
Hobbies and Interests: Physical activity, games of many sorts, dancing, training, and science.
Likes: Nature, watching Joat experiment, movies, lively music, and the smell of certain foods.
Dislikes: Combat (unless it is virtual), destruction, and curse words.
IV. Combat Ability
Physical Advantages: Sylver is very sturdy. His armor is fireproof and waterproof and there is a rubber layer under his armor that protects him from electricity. If his armor is pierced, all his components (save his speech chip, without which he can only make beeping sounds that are only understandable by Joat and other robots) are fireproof and waterproof, but are not protected against electricity (with the exception of his backup battery and battery charger). Also, he begins to lose energy after a while. Though his battery does recharge itself over time, it is necessary to go into power-save mode (similar to sleep) to get any net gain of power.
Mental Advantages (in combat): He is immune to mind-control and his mind cannot be hacked into electronically (though those with psychic powers can read his mind).
Physical Disadvantages: Sylver has no real physical disadvantages, unless you count his lack of opposable thumbs.
Mental Disadvantages (in combat): He is susceptible to normal mind-reading tactics.
Weaponry: He can breathe fire and shoot fire from his paws. His teeth and claws are also fairly sharp.
Abilities: By shooting fire through his paws, Sylver can fly. He has a good sense of smell, though he has no sense of taste (according to Joat, Sylver’s Goth phase is proof of this).
Energy Sources: His battery, which is self-recharging.
Transformations: Soul Sylver
V. History
Family: Joat, his creator.
Friends: Just about everyone.
Enemies: WolvenXII
Rivals: None (Sylver’s nature is far from competitive)
Background Story: Joat was constructed by Joat back when he had a lab. However, he came to life before the personality software was installed. Hm…
VI. Concept Information
Intended Role: Sylver is intended to play two roles: the lovable pet and the hero.
Significant Meanings: Hm… I’m drawing a blank for this one.
Incorporated Concepts: Sentience. The character is intended to raise questions about the definition and origin of sentience and the soul.
Inspirations: This character was originally created as a forum pet for the Furthia High forums.
Trivia/Miscellaneous Information: As said in the previous part, Sylver is a forum pet of mine. He is much less boring than Mr. No-Fun (Draco)
