The middle temporal cortex deals with language, memory processing, visual perception and sensory
integration. Patients with schizophrenia usually have deficits in this part of the brain as well
as the inferior temporal lobe. The middle temporal cortex is an area in primates that has direct
and indirect input from the primary visual cortex.
