CCAP ASWP Stock Solution

Mix the following ingredients:

NaNO3		0.563g
NaHPO4.7H2O		0.043g
K2HPO4		0.019g
Distilled H2O		100mL

• Label as "CCAP ASWP Stock Soln".
• Aliquot into smaller vials (15mL tubes) and put in -20C for long term storage.
• Thaw when necessary in warm water.

CCAP Soil Extract Soln

1. Put 105g of soil and 660 mL of deionized water into a 1L-bottle.
2. Autoclave for 15 minutes at 15 psi on 2 consecutive days.
3. Let contents settle for ~7 days.
4. Decant and filter the supernatant liquid.
5. Adjust pH to 7.0-8.0 with 1M HCl ot 1M NaOH, if necessary. (Typically slightly acidic)
6. Store in Media Cabinet as "CCAP Soil Extract Soln".

CCAP ASWP Medium

Mix the following ingredients:

Ultramarine Synthetica Sea Salts		8.4g
Tricine		0.125g
CCAP Stock Soln		2.5mL
CCAP Soil Extract Soln		12.5mL
Deionized H2O		235mL

• Total volume should be 250 mL.
• Adjust pH to 7.6-7.8 with 1M HCl or 1M NaOH, as necessary.
• Label as "CCAP ASWP".
• Autoclave at 15 psi for 15 minutes.
• Store in Media Cabinet.
