Pokémon: The First Movie, known in Japan as Pocket Monsters Mewtwo no Gyakushū|ポケットモンスター ミュウツーの逆襲-Poketto Monsutā Myūtsū no Gyakushū. "Pocket Monsters Mewtwo Strikes Back", is the first theatrical release based on Pokémon. Like the anime, it is directed by Kunihiko Yuyama.
