Radio Jackie North was a pirate radio station in Merseyside UK. which used to broadcast mainly at weekends on the Mediumwave band.
The station, also known as RJN, first started in the early 1980's and had a Rock music format which was ver popular. Radio Jackie North also had aconnection with the Liverpool clubscene, as a result of playing music by local bands.
The main person who ran the station was Rick Dane, real name Eric Haydock, [1] who died in 2002. [2](Not to be confused with the famous offshore DJ)
Eric's last broadcast before his sudden death was on Central Radio International [3]
There have been several tribute broadcasts as well as websites documenting the history of the station.
