DJ Phill Davies's Rock format was also popular with inmates at Liverpool’s Walton Prison who used to write in to the station regularly.

LPR, as it was known locally was raided in 1987 by the authorities for illegal broadcasting and returned to the airwaves in the 1990’s on 105FM. [1]
