The Hammer is one of the most basic tool/weapon in Paper Mario and Paper Mario:The Thousand Year-Door. It is used often in battle, or to be used to break blocks that block Mario's path. In Paper Mario:The Thousand-Year Door, there are three types of hammers; The regular one, the Super Hammer, and the Ultra hammer. The regular hammer can break blocks. The Super Hammer can break big blocks and the Ultra hammer can break stone blocks. In battle, these can be used as weapons. Mario can spin around and bash into the enemy, or do many other special moves with the hammer. The more higher-level hammer you have, the more damage it does. In Super Paper Mario, Mario has a pixl named Cudge that acts as Mario's hammer.
