Malpheus

Malpheus served the Crones faithfully for centuries never questioning his role, and then rumors of an acolyte leaving the circle crossed his ears. The more he heard about this the more the thought grew in his mind. What else was out there? Malpheus decided to abandon the Crones and find his own path. He wondered a bit until the rumors of a vampire without a sire turned up again. Intrigued, he followed the rumors to find a small group following the teachings of a vampire with an appealing idea of self-improvement through transendence. After learning more of what they were all about he dedicate his existence to these teachings and to serve only this new Covenant. Malpheus started as sword arm/errand boy, collecting and protecting important relics and tomes to prove his dedication and earn a mentor. Malpheus impressed a mentor enough to take him as a student. His life truly began to change starting with chasing the dragon's tail to see the depths at which everything is related so that he could better understand his importance in the world. Once he was assured of his place as a leader in the world he dropped his former name, was renamed Malpheus, and became even stronger in the Ordo. He became a mentor to other students in the Ordo and focused more on further knowledge of the coils and growth of the covenant. He used his sword techniques to instill strength and agility both physically and mentally and groomed great leaders. Malpheus has been a Sworn of the Mysteries for about 300 years. He has some holes in his memories and a few conflicting ones as well due to the fog. He was thought to have been killed near the end of the 1800s when a group of Sanctified tried to take some of the tomes he was hiding. He ordered his student to flee with the tomes and relics and leave him behind in order to get the items to safety. The student reported the he saw Malpheus plummet off a cliff while fighting the attackers and must have surely died but he appeared in London during the 1970s.
