W.S. was born April 23, 1564 in Statford-upon-Avon and later married Anne Hathaway. Everybody knows that. He wrote plays for the Lord Chamberlain's Men and even played Hamlet's father's ghost onstage. They performed before Queen Elizabeth I. He went on writing in plays, going through different phases of playwriting, until his death on April 23, 1616.
