Josef Stalin
From Oneiropedia
Josef Stalin (born Iosip Dzhugashvilli, 18??-1953) was first a Russian revolutionary, later the paranoid dictator of Russia during World War II and the deployment of the Iron Curtain.
[edit] Early Life
Born in Georgia, Stalin started out with a name that no one could pronounce. He briefly attended a seminary, but got kicked out for bad behavior. Could you imagine Father Stalin? He changed his name during the revolutionary days of 1917 to STALIN, man of steel (echoes of Clark Kent). Just a two-syllable, succinct, and powerful name. The kind of name that the ultimate dictator would have. Can you tell what's coming?
[edit] Later Life
Stalin was Lenin's right-hand man in the early days. He didn't like Trotsky. He wanted the USSR all to himself. In 1924, Lenin died of brain hemorrhage and Stalin got his wish. Trotsky was exiled, Stalin got the five-year plans going, Molokov made cocktails, Nazi-Soviet non-aggression pact, and then came the Battle of Stalingrad. The Soviets were pretty badly injured by WWII, but they soldiered on; however, Stalin couldn't. Died 1953. But before him, millions of his countrymen, often at his command. Khruschev took over.
