I agree with you the Kodak software is clsumy, and it also uses a lot of the computer resources that really don't need to be used.I really like and prefer Adobe Photoshop Elements. It is a smaller version of the full blown photoshop, and it has everything the average causal user (including me) needs.You can find this around $79 or sometimes less. I teach Photoshop Elements 1, 2 & 3 at Linn Benton Community College, and you can usually find many colleges offer similar classes.For a free option, I would recommend Google's Picasa. It is much more simplified and does not have the more detailed and technical options, but still for free, works great.I hope that helps,Paul
