  • recognition of phases (or lack of) according to david barry's theory.
  • people were not chosen in line with the IPT concept
    • resulted in the need for a leader
    • fluidity of staff doesnt allow this
    • Storming and norming required throughout the project
    • need a strong social leader
  • responsibilities and accountability is lacking
  • we need to include content to touch on envisioning leadership in avionics
    • eg. Mike shows envisioning leadership. Explain how? but he didnt integrate this into the project

  • KPI - Key Performance indicators (goals and planned deadlines)
    • organisational leadership
    • creates accountability
  • Team needs common goals:
    • successful finished product (measured by quality and performance in the market)
    • on time
    • within budget
  • pick full team at the start
    • storming and norming
    • less fluidity (this has caused miller to take leadership role causing problems...)
    • peoples roles are defined
    • get steering team in from the start
  • know goals at the start. Know project, know the team and perform together

  • conclude these actions should provide acceptance of changes
  • suggest adding a team member to facilitate social leadership
  • define progress and outcomes of storming and norming.
