What a man- cruised his way in and out of law school- with style to boot! Has a trail of broken hearts- including K- what a babe!

Kat is famous (or infamous) for six things: [vvs]

1. Girls: With that cute smile of his, a jock's trimmed bod, (so-called) Tam Brahm pavamness, singing talents and well-hidden intellectual deficiencies -- he was a chick-magnet (no details of the same shall be provided in this forum though :)

2. Singing: With that kind of a voice and training, mountains could be moved (or faculty -- when Kat strategically deployed it as a weapon). Kat recently produced a well-received music CD composed by his mother and him, curiously under a "creative commons license" (the attempt being to show himself as a "cyber-law" :) scholar -- more about that below)

3. Running: Although he claimed he was a "state-ranked tennis player" (and was soundly laughed at by Kartick, Faiz, Vishnu et al) one thing is very clear, as an international marathoner (this is confirmed) Kat was THE fittest guy in class. Whether he burnt the calories or not the chicks certainly melted.

4. Legal Intellect (or the lack thereof): The cat was let out of the bag in 2001 when Kat's very honourable father disclosed to his friends that his son "must have read maybe 3 books --one Enid Blyton, one Noddy and one Famous Five". He has of course improved upon that and at last count, February 2006, the total stood at 4 (the fourth being Larry Lessig's Code).

Behind that "shallow" intellect lies a brilliant scholar of technology and intellectual property and certainly a future leader of the technology law in India . His friends, however, prefer to think that his two gold medals came from that relentless work ethic and a capacity to put 18 hours a day at the office (as Justice Ruma Pal will testify).

5. Great friend: Above all, his friends remember his ability to go out of his way to do stuff for them, including repairing UPS, washing their undergarments, chaffeuring -- and led to an apt nick name -- the handyman

6. Principles: Kat was above-all known to be a gem of a guy, a guy of steadfast principles that underwent a test(s) of fire. [vvs]
