The Coffee Crew Text Adventures/How to Play
From Nick Bate Wiki
The games you'll be playing are pseudo-text adventures, meaning there's no graphics. There's also no pressing keys or buttons on a controller. All you need is a mouse and preferably a brain (which the game's maker lacks). All you have to do is read what the game tells you, write down any items you find if applicable (more on that later), and decide what action to take next. The game will give you a list of options, and you click on one of them to progress. If you don't like the choice you made, too bad. Don't click on your browser's "back" button, or The Almighty Nick Bate will be extremely angry. Only use the options the game gives you. If Master Nick wants you to go back, he'll make one of the options allow you to.
Unfortunately, it would require a great deal of effort for The Creator to program a game capable of keeping track of your party members, inventory, and progress in general, so you, the player, will be trusted to do that yourself. As a result, it's very possible to cheat. However, Her Majesty would rather you didn't. Anyway, the best way to keep track of your inventory is to write things down on paper or type them up in Notepad when you receive them in the game.
During your journeys, you may notice that some pages have two or more sets of paragraphs and two or more sets of options. You'll only be using one at a time, and the one you use will depend on the items you have or characters who're in your party. There will be big, black text saying things like "with this item" or "without this item". Basically, read the big, black text (try not to read the stuff under it, because that'd kind of spoil the storyline) and whichever one applies to you, use that one.
When you for whatever reason need to leave the computer, just jot down on your paper or in Notepad or whatever you're keeping track of your items with the name of the page you're on so you can return to it later. Make sure you don't lose your paper or Notepad file or whatever, or you're kinda screwed and'll have to start all over. Again, Ms. Bate is too lazy to program a game that allows you to save your progress.
That's pretty much it. Dr. Nickalaus Nickel, Ph.D. wishes you luck on your journeys in the land of Batia.
