The main characters are the members of the Coffee Crew, a group of pirates who hunt treasure and freelance missions. As their name implies, they also drink coffee.

[edit] Baby Knight
Nick's pet cat, who serves as the mascot of the Coffee Crew. Named after Nick's first cat, whom is now deceased. Baby is the only main character incapable of speech, and instead communicates by holding up signs. He is also quite possibly the most intelligent of the Coffee Crew members, and often has some words of wisdom for the others. However, he usually just spends his time sleeping and eating, as most cats do. He is also good friends with Goliath.

Works as a chef for both the Coffee Crew and Macen, and somehow finds the time to be a recording artist and restaurant owner. During missions, he is usually found in the ship's cabin, serving everyone's meals. He is considered a celebrity in Batia, and not just because he's a talking Saint Bernard. Goliath claims that his lead single, "Do the Doggy Disco", went platinum. Has an interesting speech impediment and apparently graduated from college.

The comic relief guy. He's always either annoying people with his non-sequitor antics or offending people with his perverted fetishes. Nick's role in the Coffee Crew is probably second-in-command, even though he kinda sucks at commanding people. He is, however, the best mission-goer and good friend of all the other members. Has various mental problems which cause him to obsess over Bonus Stage and They Might Be Giants, among other things.
