Meridell was the first world to enter beta in Neomia. The beta ended on May 1st, 2007 and the world became completable up until the ending of Part 1. Part 2 was fully released shortly after, allowing users to complete Meridell up until the next 'To Be Continued' sign. On July 1st/2nd, 2007, the 'To Be Continued' - sign disappeared and was replaced with the conclusion of Meridell and allowed Outsiders, Graphics Artists, Moderators and Admins to start beta testing of Lost Desert.

Meridell Information

Meridell is the 10th world in Neomia, following Brightvale and preceding the 11th currently-in-beta world, Lost Desert.

Part 1

Part 1 of Meridell consists of a Neoquest II - styled adventure in the areas surrounding Meridell and the castle itself, as well as normal world interaction. Players can level up their Neopet, get new weapons and potions and take on three bosses during the journey to the castle and inside it. After fighting the final boss, the Player arrives in Meridell properly and is asked to help Illusen.

Part 2

Part 2 of Meridell consists of normal world interaction with some Tale of Woe (Neopets plot) - style plot things. Although Part 1 is a common target of complaints, Part 2 has earned it's equal share of complaints, mainly the Pick Your Own activities included in Part 2.
Once the Player is done helping Illusen, they are instructed to go to Darigan Citadel.

Waiting Times

Meridell has places with waiting times. They are as follows:

  • Pick Your Own: Two hours
  • Potion Making: Anywhere from one minute to several hours (differs for each potion).


Darigan Citadel Information & World Conclusion

The Player only visits the Darigan Citadel for a short time, but enough to cause a little bit of plot advancement. After the Player is done with the Citadel and upon return to Illusen, they are presented with the conclusion to the world and are able to unlock the next world, Lost Desert.
