This is part of a group of templates that are used to display astronomical information related to a specific star. It should always be preceded by a {{Star begin}} template. The template can then be used as follows:

  r-i=R-I color |
  v-r=V-R color |
  b-v=B-V color |
  u-b=U-B color |
  variable=Variability type }}

Any of the arguments can be omitted if desired. The corresponding line will then be omitted from the infobox. The template can also be preceded or followed by other Starbox templates:

The list should then be closed with a {{Star end}} template.
