[edit] Introduction

[edit] Beginning

In Nanya: The Legend, each player controls a character. What your character is, is up to your own imagination, but even imaginations have rules.

One person is the Spinster. The Spinster decides what happens using the rules as a guide. The Spinster weaves the rules and adventures together. Doing the adventure will be like acting. Imagining that you are someone else and pretending to be that character. These adventures are supposed to help you deal with your life.

[edit] To Play Game

To play this game you will, of course, need a Spinster and at least two players. For the equipment, pencils, paper, and six different types of dice are a must. The dice used in the game are the four-sided, six-sided, eight-sided, ten-sided, twelve-sided, and twenty-sided. You can find all of these at your local hobby shop or toy store.

[edit] Dice Codes

[edit]

When you have more than one, they are called dice, but if you only have one it is called a die. Each side of a die is called a face. Each type of die is named after the number of faces it has.

The four-sided die resembles a pyramid. Try to spin while you throw it to make it a fair roll in the game. When it lands, the number on the very bottom should be the number recorded.

The ten-sided die has a zero on one face which is read as a ten. The ten-sided can also be used as a percentage (a number from 1 to 100). Roll the die once and read the result as the tens number, counting the result as the tens number, counting the zero as a zero in the front. Roll a second time for the one digit side. If both rolls are zero the result is one-hundred. If other, the result is what is combined. For example: A roll of 7 followed by a roll of 6 gives the result of 76%. If the six was first, than it would be 67%. A roll of 0 followed by a roll of 8 gives a total of 08, or simply 8%.

[edit]

We often use abbreviations for the kinds of dice: a ā€œdā€, followed by the number of faces. For example: d6 means a six-sided die. The roll of a ten-sided die twice to find a percentage has the abbreviations 1d100. Whenever a number appears before the ā€œdā€ it means the number of times needed to roll the die. So 2d12 means roll a twelve-sided die twice and add the results. There are some things that have equations muck like, for example, 2d12+1. That means a twelve sided die is rolled twice and after adding the result plus the answer with 1.
