[edit] Paragenetic Organisms

Paragenetic is a fairly new form of technology made public in 530 BE though it has been thought to have existed for several centuries. It became public when scientists publicized research to counteract the Red Skull Empire's paragenetic engineering. The paragenetics are a branch of cybernetics but instead of using artificial material, the paragenetic organisms are tissue and function much as a cell does in an organic life-form.

It is a biological culture later introduced to a host's body. The culture either alters a host's ability, intensifies an ability, replaces a lost function, or defensive ability to the host. The culture starts out as a glob of cytoplasm suspended in a nutrient, life-giving solution. The cytoplasm has some genetic material taken from a creature introduced to it. Then, through controlling PGOs (the paragenetic organisms) and carefully calculated injections, the cytoplasm is cultured into a biological organism. The PGOs last for a life time unless specified. All PGOs look much like extra skin on a host's body. With numerous PGOs on a host, the body looks as if it has many tattoo or wart-like appendages. If a PGO is taken off the host, the host will lose 1d20 life points temporarily due to shock and the PGO will die within 1d10 decimons. There are three forms of PGOs: unintelligent, programmed, and intelligent.

[edit] Unintelligent PGOs

The unintelligent PGOs are symbiotic. THey feed from nutrients in the host's blood stream and extract oxygen in the same manner. Wast products from the PGOs are introduced into the host and disposed in the same manner as waste from the host. In turn, the PGOs offer some form of benefit to the host. Basically, the PGOs are a part of the host.

[edit] Weapons

[edit] Blade

The PGO is a retractable organic blade and sheath grafted to the host's forearm and hand. When the host wishes to use the blade (20% of the host's height) it is retracted from a sheath-like skin on the forearm and positions itself in back of the wrist. It is much similar to the claws of a feline. The blades material strength is 30 and causes a damage of 2d12. 1000 credits

[edit] Claw

Razor sharp claws are grafted to the host's fingers. They face a material strength of 25 and cause 1d6 damage per each claw. 200 credits.

[edit] Fangs

A few host's teeth are shifted around and fangs form around the host's canine teeth to cause 1d12 damage plus Strength and have a material strength 30. 475 credits.

[edit] Hammerhand

It is similar to the Blade with a sheath but instead of the blade it has an ax of 2d10 possible damage plus a material strength 30. 475 credits.

[edit] Horn

This is a hardened graft attached to the host that has a 20% length of the host's body. It causes 1d12 damage per horn with a material strength 27. 400 credits.

[edit] Pincer

The pincer is similar to those of sea crabs. This PGO is grafted over the host's hand or tail tip. It causes 1d10 damage with a material strength 26. 375 credits.

[edit] Tail

This is a prehensile tail grafted to the base of the host's spine. It is 20% the length of the host. For every 1% Strength, the price is 170 credits. The maximum strength for it is 140.
