Statistics:

• Approximately 200 members
• The average member is male, Caucasian, in his early-to-mid twenties, and has a bachelor's degree.
• Breakdown (in percentages):
• 63% male, 37% female
• 53% Caucasian, 28% Hispanic, 11% African-American, 6% Asian-American, 2% other
• 51% Christian, 23% Jewish, 20% Islamic, 6% other
• The group recruits through open lectures on voudoun, given by Samedi at [ Argos University].
• Members have the ability to summon [] to possess members. Most of those granted with possessions are in the upper echelons of the group.
• Exceptions:
• [Maman Brigitte], who is forcefully possessing [Allison Halloway]
• [Legba], who is in an almost-symbiotic relationship with [Michael Smith]
• [Baron Samedi], who is slowly being edged out of godhood by [ Samael]
• The group harbors an unusual number of psychics and mediums; at least 80% have some kind of minor power.
• [Jenette Williams] is the most powerful psychic not permanently tied to one of the loa.
• Samael is the most powerful, having leeched many of Baron Samedi's powers.
• The group was created in 1877 by Samael to give him more power, so he could convince Samedi to "fuse" with him. In reality, he wants to //become// Samedi.
• The cult is responsible for a number of seemingly-unrelated disappearances throughout [Argos].
• The group practices human sacrifice. Cultists and kidnapped victims alike are used in such rituals.
• All cultists are given a [wikipedia:kris], namely used for sacrifice; it is also commonly used for self-protection.
• Technically, there are two classes of cult members:
• Black robed members are called neonates, and are the majority of members (90%)
• Red robed members are called lords, and make up most of the rest of the membership (9%)
• A third class, unknown to outsiders, exists: the Darkness-Born. They wear purple robes, and lead rites when Samael or [ Jacob] are unavailable (1% of members). They only wear the purple robes during ceremonies; otherwise, they wear red.
