From Nafa Booklet

Welcome to NAFA's Online Interactive Books! You can add to, modify, or delete any part of the page content within this working draft. Click the "edit" tab at the top of the page to edit the whole page, or one of the "edit" links within the page to edit that specific part. Then click save page, and you will have changed the page!

Please be careful not to delete someone else's information. If you feel that it is necessary to do so, please make note of your reason for deleting the information. If you have found that a page has been mishandled or appears to be disheveled, click on the "history" tab at the top of the page, and click the second date from the top. If that page is in not usable, try the third, the fourth, etc. Once you find the highest version that is appropriate and usable, click the edit tab and save it. If people disagree about what a certain page should contain, they can discuss it in "discussion", a tab at the top of the page.

Send any questions or comments to webmaster@nafa.org.

[edit] How to edit

To add plain text, simply enter it. If you want to do something more fancy, look how others have done certain things on the page you are editing, or go to one of the links below. Once you are done editing, click on the save button at the bottom, and you will have changed the page.

The easiest way to work within the pages is use the editing buttons, shown below. When you click edit, they are displayed at the top. (For some functions, you might want to highlight text before you click a button). Below is a list of what the buttons do, in order of their appearance on the button bar. Mediawiki_editbuttons.png

  • Bold - make your text bold.
  • Italics - make your text italicized.
  • Internal link - link to a page inside the online interactive book or article you are editing. If you want to do it without the button, type in this format: [[Main Page]]. This will show up as Main Page. This function is case sensitive so be sure to double check spelling and grammer.
  • External link - link to a web page not part of the online interactive book or article that you are editing. If you want to do it without the button, type in this format: [http://www.google.com Google Homepage]. This will show up as Google Homepage which will open the page link.
  • Create new section within the page.
  • Insert image that is currently uploaded to this online interactive book or article.

Note: To insert an image that is not included within these content pages, just insert the url, for example, http://example.com/image.jpg. If your picture is not on the internet already, and you would like to have it included within this content, please format the image as a jpeg or gif and email to webmaster@nafa.org. You can also upload an image by clicking on the upload file link in the toolbox, however you must be logged in to do so.

  • Link to a media file - Uploading of Media files is not allowed, however should you wish to include a media file to accompany this content, please compress the file and email to webmaster@nafa.org.
  • Mathematical formula Help:Math
  • Ignore wikipedia formatting - what was used to show http://example.com/image.jpg in plain text instead of as a picture.
  • Your signature - This will only be included within the content if you have logged in (Log in is not necessary to edit this content, however it is recommended for tracking purposes and the use of added features).
  • Horizontal line - use sparingly.
