Chatterous seems to have the potential to be a very good aplticapion. While it may seem a lot like Facebook and AIM, Chatterous has the potential to be a very good educational site. For one, Chatterous offers many lesson plans on the secondary education level that could be useful. For example, an English class could meet on Chatterous to discuss a novel or short story. It could also be used in order to enhance the imagination of the student by making them create their own inventions and convey their ideas over Chatterous. While the site may have its strengths, it also has its weaknesses. You have to be atleast thirteen years old in order to use the site. The problem is that the site offers lessons for Elementary students. Elementary students are usually not thirteen years old causing them to be unable to use te site. I gave this site a four out of five stars because it has the potential to be very useful in the classroom. By using Chatterous, teachers would be promoting students to converse with one another outside the classroom. It is also easy to use because students have grown up with sites such as Facebook and AIM that have promoted most of the technology that Chatterous uses.
