Dark Matter is a myserious substance found only in the Spam Realm. It is thought to have some level of intellect, and although it has no visable form, it is usually described as being a black sludge. This is because the Dark Matter particles meld with volcanic ash during eruptons, and Dark Matter is usually found after or during a volcaic eruption. Dark Matter in it's true form is present in varying qauntitys throughout the realm, but it is found heaviest around volcanos. The only place to find it naturally in it's black sludge form is around a volcano within a day or two after an eruption. Dark Matter is assumed to be the purest, most un-diluted form of evil present in any universe, due to it being at the root of all spam. Dark Matter is thought to have started out before the creation of the universe, and possible served as the catalyst for the creation of the universe as well. However, most Dark Matter is no longer free, but trapped underneath the planet's crust, which is why Dark Matter is most often found after volcanic eruptions. Trospoll Disease and the Spam found in Realm 0.5 are possibly a forms of Dark Matter.

The Dark Matter has been confirmed to be in QuestPortal. It has been seen in two trailers so far. In the first, it is seen in the form of a black, weblike goop that turns Wayoshi into Willy. In the second, it is seen very briefly on the floor of Wayoshi's apartment.
