A block or ban on the Mew Wiki is forcing a user to prevent him/her from editing for a certain period of time.
What are bans?
A ban is simply a warning to a user via their talk page. Any user can enforce a ban by simply asking the user to stop whatever is a causing a problem.
Users should usually be warned (given a ban) before they are blocked.
What are blocks?
A block is physically preventing a user from doing something by actually blocking their IP address or user account.
Block may be enforced for:
- Ignoring a ban
- Vandalsim/Link spam
- Edit warring
- Uncivil behaviour
- Sockpuppets/unacceptable usernames
