The Market is one of the major business districts in Valetown. It is a bit gritty, with some gang and turf issues. Graffiti is visible in the back alleys, but general the sunny roads are bearable. The main reason people come is to purchase mace, stunguns, and pistols from the many equipment shops around the town. The Market is where you are to apply for Valetown College, though the normal campus is in Valetown Centre. It also serves as an informational hub due to the many knowledgable homeless street goers. strangely, it is livable to be homeless in Valetown, as in the Charity Foundations, one who has been homeless for 2 or more months will get a free 1971 GMC Motorhome and a sleeping bag. So, the Market is a place for the homeless to collect cash by selling valuable information.

The Market is home to the largest Asian population in Valetown, mainly due to how they follow the stereotype of techies in the show, and they also run the local Yakuza and Triads, the two most powerful gangs in the district. The College Mafiosi also leave their mark in the district, by spraying the hell out of the back allies, but avoiding the less-shadowed areas in fear of the Yakuza. Jan Teflon's base for his chain of airlines and supermarkets among the township is based here, the Teflon HQ.

The Market is the second district that is reached upon getting to Valetown, after Little Cupertino.
