Dumping grounds

Welcome to the pastebin! This page is for miscellaneous quotes and posts that don't really have a place to go yet. Even if it has useful information in it, a post still needs to be edited before it can really fit into an article. Different topics have to go into different sections and there's all kind of wiki formatting shit nobody cares about. To prevent articles from becoming disorganized cesspools, please put raw posts here and then later on we can format them properly.
To add a post, use the following format: {{q|poster information|post}}.
So, for example: {{q|Anonymous 10/25/11(Tue)12:39 No.22222|allaboutcircuits.com}} will look like this:
- Anonymous 10/25/11(Tue)12:39 No.22222

Ok, so to distill, you need a sealed vessel to 'cook off' the alcohol. If there are leaks, you lose the vaporized alcohol. One of the old style pressure cookers seems the way to go, the ones with the stem and rocker on top. Can be found cheap at second hand stores. Don't need the rocker, just make sure the seal ring is intact. You WILL have to drill one more hole in the top, to install a thermometer. Need a short length of rubber tube, to act as a jumper between the kettle and your condenser coil. Condenser coil, is simple copper tube, found at any building supple store. You need a container to stick the coil in, that can be filled with ice, and preferably has a drain on the bottom to let out meltwater. And a container to collect the liquid coming out of the coil, which will be distilled alcohol. That should make a small but effective still. And probably cost no more than $50. Depending on what you can scrounge. If you boil the mix too high, you get water out with the alcohol. I think the temp should be like between 180F and 200F to get mostly alcohol, and less water out of the mixture. You will need to distill it a couple times to get it good, and get he most of the water out.
