I don't think you should lock pages. Why do you get to decide who can do what here?

The only page I've locked is the main page, and that's really more a matter of practicality than anything. The only real purpose of the main page is to be the first thing people see when they get here, and to sort of half-assedly direct them somewhere more specialized. Which is precisely the reason it's locked - if someone goes on a Goatse-blanking spree somewhere else, it will be a pain in the ass, but it'll be curable. If someone turns the main page into /d/, it will make everything and everyone look extremely bad. If the wiki were large enough to have enough people online where it would be noticed and reverted quickly, it would be one thing, but I'm pretty much the only person guaranteed to stick around, and my Internet is pretty sporadic so I can't check on things every day. But like I said, the only stuff that's actually locked is the main page, and the site interface (templates, css, sidebar, etc) - I don't ever plan on locking anything besides those. ~admin
