Once, there was a Twilight Caste Solar who had Exalted at an old age. Despite the fitness that the Exaltation had given her, she was still deathly afraid of dying of old age, and she sought desperately to find a way to cheat death and old age..and settled upon an ingenuous solution. Out of nothing, dreams and the Wyld, she birthed a girl, who was meant to be a blank slate, a vessel for her to transfer her soul and Exaltation into, once she found a way to do so. Never mind that everything she knew pointed to this as impossible, the Twilight was brilliant and above all, insane: of course there was a way for her to be able to do this, she just had to find it.
But all the best-laid plans of mice and men go awry, and so it was with the Twilight.
Her vessel awakened, when a soul who had gone through Lethe attached itself to the empty body for a new life, became more then simply a vessel.
And the Wyld Hunt came, and the Twilight fell in battle against them.
In the chaos, the girl broke free of where she had been kept, and in full flight-or-fight response, fought back against one of the attackers.
And she Exalted.
