The confession
The truth
So, I've created like 70 sockpuppets. "Why?" Simply put... I couldn't accept myself for who I was, loathing myself so much that I tried to be something I wasn't... I created the first puppet, "Shane", in February 2012. Based in part on somebody I've only heard about, and in part on my cousin... though my first run-in with the real one was in 2021. After telling him, he was surprisingly not upset...
The very things I loathed about myself bled through to the sockpuppet, however, and so, I've made more... but from August 2020, thanks to some friends, I'm done with the puppets.
