Arcis

Arcis is the capitol city of the Relforsian people, and is currently the city's main trade port.

Geography

Arcis is located on the island Arcre' of the west coast of Relforsia in the Moerrissian Sea. It has a small harbor on the southern end of the island, where Arcis is located. The island experiences rare tremors, and several geologists theorize that the island is on a fault line of some sort, though there hasn't been a major quake since humans discovered it.

Government

Arcis is the seat of the Relforsian council and Electorate, with everal of the electorate's board offices located in the city as well. The city itself is governed by a city council with a mayor, and has it's own representative in the Electorate. Political parties Relfors and Hendri have their administrative offices here as well.

The council and Electorate are mainly hands off with the city itself, preferring to govern the country at large and let the local administration cover it. They do, however, have powers that they can execute in the city and only recently gave full control back to the council due to Arcis being a major refugee/strategy point for The Generational War.

Cultural

Arcis is the capitol of the Relforisan people, and as such, they view the city as the greatest in the world. The city's people are hardworking and industrious, though the city is mainly a political one and is having a hard time adjusting to the new trade focus of the city because of Tirius' destruction (hence, they are really petitioning the Electorate to get Tirius rebuilt.)

The city is home to the nation's spring celebrations which are held in the city's common grounds. Thousands gather for celebrations of all kinds, though the most recent gathering there was the funeral of Councilman Jacob Hendri.
