Orecrest Proper is the capitol of [[Orecrest]], and is often simply referred to by that name. The city is relatively new as it was completed near the beginning of the Generational War. The city was originally named "Cleftshorn" and was intended as a sister city to [[Cliffrest]], seat of [[House Maskellian]]; it was already under construction when the mine at [[Orecrest Former]] exposed a passage to the [[UnderRealm]]. The [[Laserak]] began attacking miners and eventually ran nightly raids upon the city, forcing people to evacuate. It was decided that a fresh city with no political ties should be selected or build as the new capitol; Cleftshorn added new terraces and other major changes to the city layout to accomodate its role as capitol.
