Approach the man and investigate

You walk over to the man stirring the pot, and he glances up at you from his work.
"Wuddya want?" he says, glowering. "Nobody is supposed to be in here." He looks around for a guard to escort you out, and you remember that due to concern that someone might attempt to poison the King's food, not even you are supposed to set foot in the kitchen.
You apologize to the man, and take your leave.
