His mother was Agnes Stewart Warner and his father was Thomas Warner. He was born September 13, 1873 and died June 29, 1953. Mason had married Celia Hyland on September 9, 1894.

Our old home place consisted of 320 acres of land of which about 80 acres were in cultivation. All of this was under fence and as the fences then were all made of rails split from the timber growing on the farm it took a lot of real work to saw and split the rails considering there was about five miles or more to keep up one can get some idea of what that meant in as much as it was a good days work to cut and split 200 rails per day.
