This is the page of Nakagawa Daichi. First introduced as a science enthusiast and a supposed Ryou Shirogane fanboy, it's pretty safe to say that the latter isn't exactly true, although he tried to take on the title of the blond's rival.

[edit] Before Kokoro
Daichi moved out of his home to try his luck in the field of science. He has thoroughly studied the Mew Project and wishes to surpass Shirogane Ryou in the field of technology. His hope is that he will one day be able to cure his younger sister who has been handicapped since birth. Daichi's research is being funded by a science group known as LIFT.

Daichi met Shirogane Ichigo when she burnt something in the apartment kitchen and set off the fire alarm; he happened by and cracked a window to let out the resulting smoke. Daichi resides in one of the adjacent apartments. He later visits the cafe, revealing himself to be learned in science and Ryou's experiments. He also claims to be a Mew Mew, having a mark running all the way around his neck. Daichi apparently injected himself to prove that it could easily be done, however, he alludes to running into trouble with the experiment. His DNA is that of the Black Rhino. Not much is known about his family life, but he does have an "emotional" sister named Shika ("deer"). Shika has been blind all her life, and Daichi's been working to find a way for her to regain her lost sense, saying that there are many things he wants to show her.
Daichi was chosen as one of three boys that Kiki Gamu should try to hang out with to help her get over Ryou, although he remains in the dark about this little fact.
Daichi began showing off his robotics skills at Cafe Mew Mew much to Shinga Shikari's dismay (they were typically female robots). He made his first male robot after his Robo-Ichi got destroyed and Ari warned him about his second robo-maid. He was also enlisted by Shirogane Ryou to help locate and study the aliens, since the civil war on the alien planet has made its way to Earth. Furthermore, Ryou placed Daichi in charge of Cafe Mew Mew. The problem with that is that Daichi is ignorant about most foods, and so he had to be taught to identify and make them by both Gamu and Ryou. Apparently Takaishi Sora's mother is also looking to meet him and discuss restaurant management. Daichi has yet to reveal whether he's okay with all of this or not.
He later participated in one of Sora's April Fool's Day pranks in which he was to pretend that he was the older boy's boyfriend. When Daichi explained about his sister's condition, Sora told him that there might be a way to fix that and thus reveals to him the existence of mages and the posibility that magic could heal her.
Gamu, wanting to escape from the cafe drama, took up Daichi's offer to temporarily stay with Daichi and Shika in their apartment. (Did we forget that Ryou and Ichigo live right next door? XD)
Daichi currently helps run Cafe Mew Mew along with his sister and Gamu. He is also employed by Professor Caillouet of LIFT.

Generally friendly and laid back, although he will go into "dark form" if he feels his little sister is being threatened (this is the result of the Rhino DNA which makes him especially aggressive in these situations). Otherwise, he'll go along with about anything, but he sometimes says things in strange ways - in one instance making the girls think that he was homosexual and later revealing himself to be a Ryou fanboy - or more precisely, someone who wants to be his scientific rival. Daichi tends to keep to himself, but has little trouble meeting new people along the way, thus he likes wandering the city and visiting various stores to watch strangers. He's a bit of a pervert at times, and apparently has a doujinshi collection to rival Gamu's.

- Daichi was named after a character in the manga "Kitchen no Ohimesama" who ironically has a brother named Sora.
- His last name is a tribute to idol Nakagawa Shoko who sings the opening theme to the anime "Gurren Lagann". She is also known for being an otaku and adoring cats.
- Some of Daichi's interests were stolen from a male friend of the authoress.
