Kitenshi Kocha

From Kokorodatabase

Kitenshi Kocha (黄天使こちゃ) is a hyperactive and strange future child from the Kokoro Draft dimension; however, she adores dimension hopping and shows up often in any other world in play, mostly Kokoro, of course. Her character journal username, scienditz, embodies her character quite nicely: brilliant in theory, frivolous and naive in practice.

[edit] History

[edit] Before Kokoro

Kocha is, if you do not know, the Kokoro Draft future child of Kiki Reikaira and deleted character Tenshi Kuro. Hence the surname. The latter was one of many hybrids affected by Angelic Energy Disorder, and the chemist prodigy Kocha devoted herself to finding a cure for it. Sadly, her attempts generally do ridiculous things instead. She also decided to dimension hop to buy herself time...

[edit] Kokoro Days

Kocha immediately loved Kokoro- lots of fun people, less sick people, plenty of cute things and tons of free food! She decided to help Plum in her quest for fun for all. After too many experiments blew up in Kocha's face, Shirogane Ryou grew exasperated with her and decided to give her pointers... and a lot of lectures. She also created the Floweathers, a plant with feathers for leaves and its assorted clones, which Elizabeth Shirogane takes care of. When the current alien plot began, Kocha began to fight the monsters, but decided that killing them was too cruel and instead took them home to keep as pets.

In May of 2008 (or was it 2007?), Kocha discovered the cure for AED. Ever since then, it's been going through rigorous testing and will likely be in this stage for another few years. Pressured by her mother and her guilt, Kocha secretly administered the unreleased solution to her sick father, which is speeding up his recovery.

[edit] Kokoro Draft Future

This is Kocha's home dimension. She returns there often, but tried not to spend a lot of time there, as she was disheartened by her lack of progress in finding a cure for the people that need it and didn't want to face her family. Now that she's found the cure, she is beginning to stay there for longer periods of time.

[edit] Personality

Ditz. Utter ditz. Even when she's insulted and depressed, show her something cute or give her a hug or a compliment, and she'll be all smiles. Her preferred method of greeting people is to glomp them, squea out their name, and go on and on about either how awesome they are or ask if they are having fun. Except if the person is sad; then, it's glomp, blink, ask if the person is okay and why not. What really gets her, though, is AED patients, especially those who think that they are entitled to use as much magic as they want and skip treatment. She'll also burst into tears if there's the slightest sign that someone she loves is going to die.

Kocha is also a genius chemist. She's managed to create things that no one else could dream of, like fruit that gives off toxic fumes, flowers with feathers for leaves, and coffee that turns to cement (okay, the bad cooks could probably do that one). This off-the-mark characteristic is also shown in the running gag of her giving people presents; they are always completely random, totally unexpected and very much unwanted.

Ryou is her favourite person ever, and she secretly wants to be a Shirogane child.

On October 21, 2007, she made a major breakthrough in her study of the AED gene, reminding Ryou how his successes used to make him feel. In February of the next year, she decided to inject herself with it, make herself deathly sick and then test the cure on herself in case it failed. Ryou and Daisuke, however, found out, and convinced her not to.

Kocha adores her pet chimeras, which, according to her bleeding-heart nature, she brings home and domesticates instead of feeding them to machines. This has actually been quite effective, and, save for the odd bit of normal rebellion (which has been constrained to possessing waffle irons and flying out of the cage when not allowed), they are happy, docile creatures. However, their sheer number is becoming a problem, and, as other people destroy chimeras instead of befriend them, Kocha is hesitant to give them away as pets to anyone she doesn't completely trust. She did give one to Ryou for his birthday, but neither he nor Daisuke have any interest in more, and she worries if anyone else will do.

[edit] Mew Mew Information

Wow, despite the angel thing, she actually follows some Mew Mew rules! She has one attack (Reborn Black Tea Slash), one weapon (Thebaton, with an accent over the e. It's supposed to be like the French word for tea.), her hair and eyes change colour and match in Mew Mew form... That's like no fan mew, and all the canons!

She was originally supposed to have a more original sub-ability, instead of just turning into a kemonomimi like Ichigo and all fan mews do, but Jisu ended up being lazy and sometimes Kocha gets wings.

[edit] Trivia

  • Kocha realizes that there are so many Shiroganes that she has to number them. We would all do well to follow her example.
  • Kocha's age was pushed back a year in 2008 in order to make her childish nature a little more plausible, never mind that much older girls in certain series are just as complete moeblobs.
  • Kocha was originally intended to be a devious prankster, then a ditzy fangirl, before her authoress finally decided on a cute, childish personality.
