Theodore von Hippel is a German military officer and colonial administrator. He had served under General Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck during the Weltkrieg in the East African theatre, where was conducted a brilliant guerrilla campaign against Allied colonial troops. Inspired by these examples, von Hippel remained in colonial duty after the war and joined the Abwehr, advocating for small commando actions against the reluctant Native tribes. Encouraged by men such as Hermann Göring or Wilhelm Canaris, he is currently Head of the Mittelafrikan branch of the Abwehr.
