Remnant Threat characters

Most of the characters in the story are from the actual continuity of the Original Trilogy of Star Wars developed by George Lucas. As the story is based but a few years after The Return Of The Jedi, most of the main characters remain. You can view articles on them by clicking on the links on the names of the recognizable characters (they will take you to the Star Wars Wiki.) (The following bios begin after the end of Return Of The Jedi)

Protagonsists

Luke Skywalker

Lightsaber style: Form V/(Shien/Djem So)

Luke is beginning to recruit young Jedi and is in the process of training his twin sister Leia in the ways of the Force (Read about her later)in the story, he has to investigate mysterious happenings surrounding a rogue Imperial figure, accompanied by the fiesty astromech droid R2D2. As a Jedi Master, the story sees him wielding his lightsaber yet again, although quite reluctantly. The last of the old, and the first of the new must fight the new threat to the Galaxy.

Leia Organa

Lightsaber style: Form III/Soresu

Leia has honed her Force skills, and is now a Jedi Initiate, being recently promoted to the rank by the New Jedi Council (consisting of Luke.) Apart from being administrative ruler of the New Republic, she also plays the part of warrior-woman in the story, showing her skills in the lightsaber and the quadblaster cannons mounted on the Millennium Falcon.

Han Solo

Weapon of choice: DL-44 heavy blaster pistol

Han Solo, notorious ex-space pirate and owner of the legendary Millenium Falcon, is now commited to rebuilding the New Republic, and is an invaluable ally. He spearheads the attack on the new threat (in the story) and is also Leia's boyfriend. Han gives up his prievious reservations on the Jedi (and the Force) heavily assisting Luke and the other Jedi with carrying the weight of the Galaxy on their battle-worn shoulders.

Chewbacca

chewie1.jpgBowc1.jpg

Weapon of choice: Wookie bowcaster

Chewbacca is the Wookiee co-pilot and best friend of Han Solo. He takes a backseat in this paticular story, though still serves a pivotal role commanding the Millenium Falcon without Solo's assistance in an emergency situation in the story. He plays a far bigger role in the second part of the series. Sadly, his bowcaster skill comes not to much use in the first third of the Grand Marshal tripdych.

R2-D2

r2d21.jpgcutter.png

Weapon of choice: Multi-tool

After many instances of service in plenty of Rebel crafts, R2-D2 is far from retirement, due to the new threat to the safety of the new New Order. He is still the astromech of Luke Skywalker in the story, and is usually quick to comment on any situation with an interjecting "beep beede beep beep beep." He accompanies Luke on an important mission, proving as important as he was before.

C3PO

c3po1.jpg3PO.png

Weapon of choice: None

The feisty astromech unit's inseparable companion, the worrywart protocol droid joins Han on the siege against the new threat on board the Millennium Falcon (an experience he does not enjoy, this instance being no exception). Expect to see more "Oh my!"s, "Oh dear!"s and other Threepio-isms through the story.

General Vanden

Weapon of choice: Sports PDW

A Hoth-based original character general, he plays a minor role though has the important task of revealing the presence of the strange Remnant encampment to Luke, which springs him off on his adventure. He's an accomplished officer in the New Republic, and led the Rebel SpecForce in most of its battles.

Re-cloned Troopers

clone2.jpgDC-15_blaster.png

Weapon of choice: DC-15 blaster, sawn-off

Also known as Clone Anti-Imperial Troopers, these forces of good are among the very few reminders of a clone warrior-assisted past. Recloned and loyal to the New Republic, they help Han Solo and his comrades in their ambitious conquest, also adopting a new sense of emotion and independence.

Antagonists

Grand Marshal

marshal1.jpg

Lightsaber style: Form II/Makashi with many elements of Form VII/Juyo

A bitter, sordid, original character. This mysterious character (more gets revealed in Wrath of the Marshal) joined the Empire, and the topple of the Emperor enabled him to rise through the ranks. In 5.5 ABY he, with the aid of many a bribed soldier, he declares himself Grand Marshal of the Empire, and started his campaign to overthrow the New Republic.

Stormtrooper

stormie1.jpgE11.jpg

Weapon of choice: E-11 blaster rifle

The standard soldier, re-cloned from a bounty-hunter template or simply hired from the nearest pit of scum and villany, is as feeble-minded as ever but serves an important secondary role doing the Grand Marshal's dirty work (out of bribery, of course)this basic template was used for modified troopers like the Stormtrooper Commando who also appears in the story.

Imperial Red Guards

redguard1.jpgElectrostaffs.jpg

Weapon of choice: Electrostaff

Bribery was not the only method employed by the evil rogue Imperial. The Red Guards, loyal only to the Emperor, were mentally manipulated to succumb to the Grand Marshal's command. These intimidating servants of the Dark Side are involved in a dramatic fight in The Remnant Threat, where they attempt holding their own against Luke Skywalker.

Storm Commandos

stormcommando1.jpgDC17mbasic.jpg

Weapon of choice: DC17 Interchangeable weapon system

The creme de la creme of the conventional Stormtrooper force. They appear as Space Marines during the climatic endfight and are armed with DC-17 blaster rifles and deadly mines along with a agile jetpack mounted on their backs. They are especially trained in ruthlessness, as in accordance with the Grand Marshal Doctrine: "Rule through force itself rather than fear of force."
