The dimensional superdrive was a revolutionary development in the history of Mankind, and simultaneously by the Varran and the Caasuri. It was developed from the proven superbosonic string theory and the Generic Theory of Relativity (a comphrehensive thorem built upon the General and Special theories of Relativity.)

Mechanics

For one to properly understand the entirety of the mechanics of superbosonic string theory would require an incredibly indepth knowledge of subatomic particles, which Wikipedia or perhaps the Britannica has time enough to discuss, but not here. Let it be declared that the 'string' as mentioned here is the smallest and most basic of all particles, and their resonations and vibrations determine the properties of the universe in its whole. Changing any of these vibrations can affect anything from a baryon to a nebula.

Thus, the superdrive uses an extraplanal force to change the vibrations of these strings, consequently creating an instance of reality where the ship is mere picometers from the destination, and in that instant, the ship moves there. The drive, or the balance of the uiverse (a more widely accepted belief) changes the vibrations to back before the tampering, and returning the universe to its original state (with the exclusion of the ship's location.)

There us a period of time, the experimental stage, where the drive is forced to select between an undescribable number of options inwhich to fundamentally change the universe. In drives with better AIs, this selection takes a shorter time. However, no ship can avoid the "Heisenburg Zone", (quite appropriately named after the inventor of the Uncertainty Law) where anything, and quite possibly everything, can or will happen.

People going through this state have been known to see strange extraplanar objects permeating through all, among other effects. In many instances, coffee has been turned into tea, paper has been transformed into glass, and people haved swithced clothes. The invention of the Reverse Change Recharger solved this problem by returning the individual back to his prior state based on a saved instance of reality.
