The youngest daughter of Blood-from-Dust, the late head of the Flickering Voyage Trading company. When Blood-from-Dust fell into what would turn out to be his terminal illness, Vashtari and Kestrel were abroad, carrying out the family business of trade and barter. It fell to Bright Ocean to tend to their father. Medicines for the dying man were not cheap, and with increased taxes in the wake of the disappearance of the Scarlet Empress, she was forced to sell many of the family's personal possessions to afford them. While she did her best to prevent her father's slide into bitterness and hatred, ultimately, the corrupting influence of the Autumn-Bringer proved beyond her mortal skills. By the time her siblings returned she was on her last reserves of strength, having forgone sleep for many days.

Like many of the proud Delzahn people, Bright Ocean was noticeably polite and well spoken, according appropriate honor to those she interacted with. As a younger sister she was trained to be demure and skilled in the domestic arts, as well as the basic survival and self-defense capabilities that all nomad Delzahn are expected to have. She generally deferred authority to her elder siblings… until the illness and death of their father. That harrowing experience took her to her limits and she promised herself that she'd never be left behind and helpless again, especially after finding out that her siblings were now somehow the next best thing to gods. As a mere mortal, she accompanied them even into the Wyld and it was in a sandstorm, pursued by Fae forces, that Luna appeared to Bright Ocean and rewarded her stubbornness with Exaltation.

Now Bright Ocean, or Bright-Eyes-Over-Silver, is noticeably less demure, and hasn’t considered practicing any domestic arts in quite some time. Luckily Ghostfeather provides good advice on being a Lunar, and her loyalty to her family is stronger than ever.
