The 2026 Royal Rumble, also promoted as Royal Rumble: Charming is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by the American company WIW. It will be the 39th annual World War and will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the King Teller Financial District in Charming, California, as part of California Season, and will be held for wrestlers from the Rage and ShowDown brand divisions.
The event is based around the World War Rumble match, and the winner traditionally receives a world championship match at that year's SuperBrawl. For the 2026 event, the men's and women's winners receive a choice of which championship to challenge for at SuperBrawl X8. The men's winner can choose to challenge for either Rage's World Heavyweight Championship or SmackDown's Unified WIW World Championship, while the women have the choice between Rage's Women's World Championship and ShowDown's WIW Women's Championship.

[edit] Background
The World War is an annual professional wrestling event that is traditionally held in January by the American company WIW since 1988. It is one of the promotion's five biggest events of the year, along with SuperBrawl, SummerBash, Soul Survivor, and Money in the Bank, referred to as the "Big Five". The concept of the event is based around the World War Rumble match, a modified battle royal in which the participants enter at timed intervals instead of all beginning in the ring at the same time.
[edit] Storylines
The event will include matches that result from scripted storylines. Results are predetermined by WIW's writers on the Rage and ShowDown brands, while storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television shows, Wednesday Night Rage and Friday/Saturday Night ShowDown.
