Final Resolution featured professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that were played out on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's (TNA) television programs. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate into a wrestling match or series of matches.
