The 2025 Wrestlepalooza, also promoted as Wrestlepalooza: Indianapolis, is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by the American company IWE. It will be the fifth XCW Wrestlepalooza, although the first under the IWE banner, and the first since 2000, which was produced by the former Xtreme Championship Wrestling, the assets of which IWE acquired in 2003. The event will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, and will feature wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. This will also be Dustin Simpson's first and only Wrestlepalooza appearance as an in-ring performer due to his retirement from professional wrestling at the end of 2025.

[edit] Background

Wrestlepalooza was the name of a professional wrestling event produced by Xtreme Championship Wrestling (XCW) that was held in 1995, 1997, 1998, and 2000; though the 1998 iteration aired on pay-per-view (PPV) while the others aired across television. In 2003, IWE acquired the assets of XCW from bankruptcy. Over 20 years later, on August 20, 2025, IWE officially announced the return of Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for September 20 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana and it will be held for wrestlers from the promotions Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.

The show is part of a deal between IWE and the Indiana Sports Corp, which includes a future SummerSlam and WrestleMania that will be held in Indianapolis as well as a Royal Rumble, which occurred earlier in the year. The deal also includes Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown tapings and "other select events" which Wrestlepalooza falls under.

After the announcement, Kevin "Triple K" Levesque, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins conducted interviews over various ESPN shows including First Take and Sports Center with Levesque announcing that Pat McAfee would return at the event.

This will be IWE's first main roster PPV and livestreaming event to go head-to-head with rival company All Elite Wrestling (AEW), airing against AEW's All Out PPV. Previously, only select NXT livestreaming events had aired directly against AEW's PPVs.

Tickets for the event went on sale on August 22, 2025. According to WrestleTix on X, over 8,000 tickets were sold within the first 24 hours.

[edit] Broadcast outlets

In addition to airing on traditional PPV worldwide, it will be available to livestream on ESPN's direct-to-consumer streaming service in the United States, Netflix in most international markets, and the IWE Network in any remaining countries that have not yet transferred to Netflix due to pre-existing contracts. This will be the first main roster IWE PPV and livestreaming event to air on ESPN in the United States, as Peacock's contract for these events ended following the conclusion of Clash in Paris the prior month. ESPN had originally been slated to begin broadcasting IWE's events in the United States in April 2026 beginning with WrestleMania 42, but as Peacock's contract allowed them to broadcast a select number of events per year, additional events, such as Evolution and the second night of SummerSlam, made Peacock pass that quota and end their contract ahead of schedule; Peacock will still air NXT's livestreaming events until March 2026, as well as other content, such as Saturday Night's Main Event, for the next several years.

[edit] Storylines

The event will include matches that resulted from scripted storylines. Results were predetermined by IWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands, while storylines were produced on IWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.
