Bragging Rights (2010) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by International Wrestling Entertainment (IWE), that took place on October 24, 2010 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was the second and final Bragging Rights event. Seven matches took place at the event. This event received approximately 137,000 buys, which is lower than the 181,000 that last year's event received.

Bragging Rights featured professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that were played out on International Wrestling Entertainment's (IWE) television programs. Wrestlers portrayed villains or heroes as they followed a series of events that build tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.
The main concept of the show featured an interpromotional match featuring wrestlers from Raw against those of SmackDown for Bragging Rights with Team SmackDown going for their second Bragging Rights victory since their inaugural win last year. On the October 8 episode of SmackDown, The Big Show was named the Captain of Team SmackDown. On the October 11th episode of Raw, six of the seven members of Team Raw qualified through winning matches, all of which included Joe Linderman, B-Truth, Justin Black, Sheamus, the recently traded Justin Eldridge and the team captain The Miz. Following that, SmackDown also held qualification matches adding Scott Wright, Charlie Wilson, Alberto Del Rio, Jose Serrano, and the recently traded Edge. Hoping to prove himself, Kaval challenged the Big Show to earn a spot on Team SmackDown, Big Show stated that Kaval wouldn't last five minutes in the ring with him and accepted a 5 minute challenge. Kaval lasted the five minutes and earned a spot on Team SmackDown only to lose to Tyler Rask right after and lose his spot to him. On the October 18 episode of Raw, The Miz completed Team Raw by adding the returning Russell Dalton as the 7th member of Team Raw.
The main rivalry from Raw involved the IWE Champion Kevin McAlmond against Nexus leader Daniel Gonzalez in a match for Orton's IWE Championship which included newly inducted Nexus member Dustin Simpson in Gonzalez's corner. The previous month at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Dustin Simpson had lost a match against Daniel Gonzalez, due to interference by Husky Harris and Kooper McAlmond, under the stipulation that Simpson would join the Nexus upon losing. While attempting to destroy the Nexus from the inside, the Raw General Manager forced Simpson to follow Gonzalez's orders because of the stipulations of the match or he would fire Simpson. During a Battle Royal to determine the next number one contender to face Kevin McAlmond, Simpson, Gonzalez and the other members of the Nexus worked together to eliminate the other Raw Superstars, until only Simpson and Gonzalez were left, Gonzalez ultimately won when he forced Simpson to eliminate himself, thus making Gonzalez the number one contender. Upon winning, Gonzalez forced Simpson to be in his corner during the match to ensure that Gonzalez wins the match.
Another rivalry from Raw was that of Nick Kessler and Kody Brown. On the October 18th episode of Raw, Brown challenge Kessler to an interpromotional match at Bragging Rights. Kessler accepted the challenge and the match was made official. It was announced that the match would be non-title, with Kessler being the Intercontinental Champion and Brown being the United States Champion.
The main rivalry from SmackDown involved the World Heavyweight Champion Kane against his half-brother The Undertaker in a Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship. At Hell in a Cell, Paul Bearer, who was with The Undertaker during the Hell in a Cell match against Kane, betrayed The Undertaker giving the victory to Kane once again. Two weeks later on SmackDown, Paul Bearer issued one more challenge to The Undertaker in a Buried Alive match. Later that night, The Undertaker accepted his match and taunted him with Kane's own pyrotechnics.
Another rivalry from SmackDown revolved around the Divas Championship. Amanda Johnson and Victoria were the self professed "Co-Divas Champions" heading into the event, where one of them would face challenger Shannon. It was announced on the 22nd October episode of Smackdown that Victoria would be the one to face Shannon at Bragging Rights, with the Divas Championship on the line.

Prior to Bragging Rights coming on the air, fans in attendance were shown a live, un-televised match. Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) and Chavo McAlmond squared off in front of the live audience, in a contest which MVP won via pinfall.
[edit] Preliminary matches
The first live match on the card was between Nick Kessler and Kody Brown in an interpromotional singles match. They started off going back and forth, with Brown then gaining the upper hand and hitting Kessler with serious offense. The live crowd were right behind Brown throughout the contest. Kessler started to come back into the match and he exerted some dominance over Brown for a considerable amount of time. Brown began building some offense and started hitting Kessler with all sorts of kicks, much to the delight of the fans. Brown hit a missile dropkick from the top rope and then scored a near fall on Kessler. Nick rolls Brown up and scores a near fall of his own, before following up with another 2 count. Brown counters the Zig Zag and then scores a near fall. Both men go to the top rope and Brown gains an advantage by pushing Kessler off balance. Kessler counters a back suplex attempt by Brown and scores yet another near fall. The crowd break into chants of "This Is Awesome". Brown counters a sleeper hold attempt and then both men collide in mid air with both attempting a crossbody at the same time. Kessler and Brown then exchange punches, before Brown nails him with a kick to the head. They then exchange a series of near falls before Kessler gets the 3 count, only to realize Brown got his foot on the bottom rope. The match continues and Kessler locks in a sleeper hold. Brown reaches the ropes and Kessler has to break the hold. Brown locks in the LeBell Lock out of nowhere and Kessler has no choice but to submit.
The second contest of the evening was an impromptu tag team match, with the IWE Tag Team Championships on the line. David Mahrt and Dustin Simpson were revealed by Daniel Gonzalez as the opponents for Mark Semmler and Dax Hoovestall, with the titles up for grabs. Otunga and Rhodes started things off, before Hoovestall was tagged in by Semmler and he began working on Mahrt. Semmler was tagged back in by Hoovestall, before another quick tag was made. Hoovestall scored a near fall on Mahrt. Semmler was tagged back in by Hoovestall, before Mahrt tagged in Simpson for the first time. Semmler began working on Simpson in the corner, before Simpson countered and hit a vertical suplex. Semmler tagged in Hoovestall, who hit a Clothesline on Simpson. Hoovestall was hit with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle after Simpson built up some offense and then Semmler tapped out to the STF. Simpson and Mahrt are announced as the new Tag Team Champions. Simpson hit Mahrt with the Attitude Adjustment after the match and left with both tag titles.
The third match was also impromptu and not advertised prior to the event. Kyle Johnson and Goldust faced off in a singles match, revolving around Goldust stealing the Million Dollar Championship from Johnson, a few weeks before. Johnson started off on top, before Goldust countered and got himself back into the contest. The match went to the outside briefly. Johnson hits a Dropkick on Goldust and then gets a near fall. After Riley and Aksana start scuffling outside the ring, Goldust is distracted and Johnson hits a DDT for the victory.
The next match was for the IWE Divas Championship between Champion Victoria and challenge Shannon. The stronger Shannon was in control at the start, but Victoria countered and hit some offense of her own. Amanda Johnson attempted to get involved and Shannon pushed her into the barricade. Victoria attempts to escape and retain the title by countout, but Shannon dragged her back to the ring and Amanda kicks Shannon in the head. Victoria takes advantage and pins Shannon to retain the Championship.

The fifth contest of the evening was the Buried Alive match between Kane and Undertaker, with Kane's World Championship on the line. The match starts with both men battling on the entrance ramp and Undertaker gaining an advantage over his half brother. They continue to battle at ringside and Kane is sent flying into the steel steps. They then go into the stands through the crowd, with Undertaker still in control of proceedings. They fight briefly on the stairs and then go back out to the ring. Undertaker begins throwing chairs into the ring and Kane scrambles away when Taker picks one up. They go into the crowd yet again and Kane is still on the wrong end of a beating from Undertaker. As they go back out to ringside, Kane gets back into it and begins assaulting Taker with one of the steel chairs, hitting him with it several times on the back and neck. Kane hits two Chokeslams in a row on Undertaker. Kane drags Undertaker out of the ring and up to the burial site, located at the side of the entrance ramp. Undertaker regains some control and stops Kane before they get to the grave. Both men crawl up the mound of dirt until they are right next to the grave. They battle briefly at the burial site with both men at a stalemate. Kane tries to roll Undertaker into the six foot hole, but Taker locks in Hell's Gate and Kane passes out from the submission hold. Taker rolls a lifeless Kane into the grave and then turns his attention to Paul Bearer, who betrayed him three weeks before. Undertaker is ready to Chokeslam Bearer into the grave and then The Nexus come running out to make the save. Taker tries to fight them all off, but the numbers are too strong and they start beating him to the ground. Kane crawls out from the grave and smashes Undertaker over the head with the urn which causes Taker to fall into the grave and then buries him under a huge mound of dirt via the digger that is sitting next to the burial site. The bell rings and Kane has buried Undertaker alive, whilst retaining the World Championship.
The sixth match was the seven on seven Team Raw vs Team SmackDown elimination tag team match. Justin Black is the first eliminated from Team Raw, when Tyler Rask pins him and gives SmackDown the one man advantage. Sheamus eliminates Jose Serrano from Team SmackDown and that evens the numbers up. Justin Eldridge and Scott Wright come in and reignite an old rivalry, working over each other for a couple of minutes. Alberto Del Rio takes out his own teammate Wright, sending him shoulder first into the barricade, which means it is now six on five in favour of Team Raw. Joe Linderman comes in and works over Charlie Wilson briefly. Linderman hits Starship Pain on Wilson and eliminates him, making it six on four in favour of Raw. Sheamus comes in and eliminates Tyler Rask after hitting the Brogue Kick, making it six on three to Team Raw. Big Show and Sheamus battle outside the ring, which leads to both men being counted out. It is now five on two to Team Raw, with Edge and Del Rio being the survivors for Team SmackDown. Edge eliminates R-Truth after a Spear, which brings it down to four on two in favour of Raw. Linderman comes in and gets hit with a Spear by Edge also, which leads to Linderman being pinned and eliminated. It is now three on two in favour of Raw. Edge hits a DDT on Eldridge. Del Rio tags himself in and begins working on Eldridge. Del Rio is eliminated by Eldridge and it is three on one to Team Raw. Del Rio is retreating up the ramp, when Wright (who was never officially eliminated) comes out and rejoins Team SmackDown. This makes it three on two now, in favour of Raw. Wright gets tagged in and hits the 619 on Eldridge and pins him, making it a two on two match. Edge and Wright vs The Miz and Russell Dalton. Wright hits the 619 on Dalton as well and then pins him, making it two on one in favour of Smackdown. The Miz is the sole survivor for Team Raw. Alex Riley sacrifices himself for The Miz, ensuring that Wright doesn't hit Miz with the 619. Wright tags in Edge who then hits The Miz with a Spear. Edge pins The Miz and Team SmackDown have overcome the odds and won the match. Edge holds the trophy aloft, alongside Scott and Hornswoggle, the mascot for SmackDown.
The seventh and final contest of the night was for the IWE Championship. Kevin McAlmond was the Champion going into the match, defending against challenger Daniel Gonzalez, who had Dustin Simpson in his corner. As per the stipulation, if Gonzalez doesn't win, Simpson gets fired from IWE. They start off going back and forth, with McAlmond eventually establishing some control in the match. A loud chant of "Fire Simpson" broke out at the start of the match. McAlmond scores a near fall after hitting Gonzalez with kneedrops to the head. Gonzalez comes back into and now Orton is on the receiving end of some offense. Barrett confronts Cena on the outside and Orton attacks Wade from behind, sending him sprawling to the ground. McAlmond smacks Gonzalez's head off of the steel ring steps, before rolling him back into the ring and getting another near fall. McAlmond locks in a chinlock and Gonzalez attempts to get back to a vertical base. They go to the outside again and McAlmond is sent shoulder first into the steel steps. Gonzalez gets a near fall on McAlmond, followed by another one. Gonzalez takes McAlmond back to the outside and smashes McAlmond's head off of the barricade. Gonzalez kicks McAlmond in the head, with Simpson watching on. McAlmond is rolled into the ring and Gonzalez again gets a near fall. McAlmond builds some momentum of his own and attempts a second rope DDT on Gonzalez. Daniel counters and shoves McAlmond directly into the referee, who is knocked to the outside of the ring. Gonzalez hits a huge Clothesline on McAlmond. Simpson comes up to the apron, only to be knocked back off. Nexus hit the ring and because the referee is down, no one can stop them. Nexus continue to assault McAlmond and Simpson gets up and clears the ring, minus Gonzalez and McAlmond. Simpson tells Gonzalez he did it to stop Gonzalez being disqualified thanks to interference. McAlmond comes to and hits a Clothesline on Gonzalez, followed by a scoop slam. McAlmond hits the rope hung DDT at the second attempt. Unnoticed by McAlmond, McAlmond sneaks in behind him and then grabs Daniel Gonzalez. Simpson hits the Attitude Adjustment on Gonzalez and the match ends in disqualification, in favour of Gonzalez. McAlmond loses the match, but retains the title. Simpson attempts to give McAlmond the Championship, only to receive an RKO from The Viper. The announcers explain that since Gonzalez won the match, Simpson won't be fired from IWE. McAlmond poses with the IWE Championship as Bragging Rights goes off the air.
